Trinamool Alleges Bulk Voter Form Deliveries from BJP-Ruled States, ECI Orders Probe

Trinamool Congress leaders, including Abhishek Banerjee and Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, alleged that thousands of Form 6 applications—meant to add new voters—were delivered in bulk from BJP-ruled states such as Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. According to the party, these submissions bypassed standard booth-level checks, a procedural safeguard designed to ensure authenticity and transparency in voter enrollment.

Escalating the matter, the leaders formally wrote to the Election Commission, demanding immediate scrutiny of the submissions. They described the incident as “vote theft” and warned of an attempt at demographic change. Responding to the allegations, Chief Electoral Officer Manoj Agarwal confirmed that the submissions had been received.
